Suspending a ContactThe status of a Contact controls if Messages can be sent to that Contact. When a new Contact is created, the status is enabled by default. A status of suspended means that messages cannot be sent to that Contact. In cases where Contacts are required to opt-in to receive communications, they will be marked as suspended until they have opted-in. When a Contact unsubscribes their status will be marked as suspended. Always suspend a Contact rather than deleting if possible. Suspending a contact will preserve their history and any knowledge collected about them. Deleting a contact will permanently remove these details. For example, if a contact is deleted and later rejoins the database, all contact details and information about the Contact's history with the company will be lost. In this scenario, suspending and then re-enabling a Contact will allow any history to be retained. To suspend a Contact
