Restoring a Web Document

Restoring a web document copies the content from a previously published version and replaces the current draft version with it. You can specify to replace:

  • HTML
  • Images
  • Attachments

Existing data will be overwritten.

To restore a web document

  1. From the Site Manager Website view, click the folder you wish to view web documents from.
  2. From the Component List, click the web document you would like to restore to a previous version.
  3. Click the Modify button on the Action Bar.
  4. A Component window will be launched displaying the Content view.
  5. From the Action bar Advanced menu, click Restore.
  6. The Restore Content dialog will be launched.
  7. From the Restore from list, click the version that you would like to restore from.
  8. Click the View button beside this list.
  9. A window will be launched displaying the web document as it will appear on the web site. Confirm that this appears as expected. Close this window and return to the Restore Content dialog.
  10. By default the HTML, Images and Downloads (Attachments) check boxes will all be selected. Clear any of these you do not wish to restore. At least one option must remain selected.
  11. Click the Next button to continue. The confirmation screen will be loaded.
  12. Confirm that the details displayed are correct.
  13. Click the Restore button to perform the restoration.
