Creating a New Survey Response

It is possible to create a new Survey response for a Contact in the Partition from the management console. This allows you to enter Survey responses on behalf of a participant - without the need to log onto a website using their login credentials.

The Survey must be published to create a new response from the management console. Responses recorded in this way are added to the current sample.

To create a new response

  1. From the Responses view, click the New button on the Action Bar.
  2. The Select Contact dialog will be launched, as this response must be recorded against an existing Contact.

    Click the Contact that you would like to create a response for and click the Select button.

  3. The New Survey Response window will be launched.
  4. The questions will be displayed in the same manner as if the Survey was being viewed on a web page. All the validation, branching logic, page breaks, scoring, correct answers and other options behave as if the Survey were being completed on a published web page.

    If this is a multi-page Survey you will need to complete each page.

  5. Once you have completed filling in the Survey response, click the Finish button.
  6. The New Response window will be closed. The new response will be visible in the response view and the Source will be shown as Management Console.
